Limited Edition: Blue Lagoon

Dreamy in Blue Lagoon

This week's limited edition colorway is Blue Lagoon! This colorway was inspired by indigo and tie-dying - and of course our yearning for fresh-water lagoons!

We strongly believe in supporting women in entrepreneurship. Anzula is here because other women believed in us and have supported us in a multitude of ways. In that spirit, we are donating 10% of wholesale and 25% of retail pre-orders for this colorway to Amber Tamm Canty’s Future Farm Fund.

You can learn more about Amber, Furture Farm Fund, and donate directly here.

Bikini Bodies at Salty Beaches (new limited edition colorways)!

We have wanted to do something with our creativity to both make something beautiful and to financially support organizations we love. So we created two new limited edition colorways, Salty Beach and Bikini Body!

Salty Beach

For Salty Beach we chose soothing colors and a snarky name, because we all need a little bit of both. As individuals, many of us are pouring so much of ourselves into making the world a better place. We know that Black people have been doing this work for their whole lives and want to do what we can to support their efforts. When you pre-order this limited edition colorway we will donate 25% of retail orders and 10% of wholesale orders to Black Lives Matter.

You can learn more about the work BLM does and make a direct donation here and you can pre-order Salty Beach through June 17, 2020 here.

Charlie is knitting Kira Cove by Tamy Gore using 1 skein of Salty Beach and 1 skein of Black in Dreamy, (photos coming soon)! You can see photos of Tamy’s design and find the pattern on Ravelry here.

Bikini Body

Bikini Body was created with the idea that, as we come up on the warm summer months, no one should be allowed to police your body, judge what you wear, or make you feel badly about the way you look or what you wear. We have a saying in our household, “We don't comment on other people's bodies.” Your body is your business, whether you flaunt it or not!

At Anzula we admire and honor all bodies. Bodies of every race, age, ability, and gender expression are beautiful. This week we chose BEAM to receive donations for our limited edition colorway, 10% of wholesale pre-orders will be donated to BEAM to aid them in furthering their mission "to remove the barriers that Black people experience getting access to or staying connected with emotional health care and healing."

If you'd like to learn more or make a donation directly to BEAM you can do so here and you can pre-order Bikini Body through June 24, 2020 here.

Becca is knitting Charlize by Vanessa Smith using Bikini Body in Dreamy and it’s seriously a knock out! You can get get the pattern on Ravelry here.

Which is your favorite? What will you make with your limited edition skeins? Tell me all about it in the comments!

Supporting Yarn Shops, Charities, & Yarn Friends Everywhere!

It's been a busy week at Anzula. You might see me say we, it's still just me, but I'm not used to saying me/I. Anzula has been a team for so long, and will be again when we’re able to be together again. In the meantime, as we all stay quarantined for the benefit of health of so many individuals, I want to share with you all the ways you can partner with us to do good in the world!

1) Many local yarn shops are shipping orders, doing live video sales, mystery kits, bespoke surprise kits based on a word you give them, and in general offering so many fun ways for you to shop. If you need yarn, you should definitely check out LYS social media pages to see all the great stuff going on!

2) Another way to support LYS right now is to purchase yarn from the Anzula Online Shop and mention your favorite LYS (and the city and state the shop is in) in the comments during checkout. We will send them 25% of your purchase! This way you get to easily order yarn online right away, I get to keep working, and your LYS gets money to keep them going. It’s a win-win-win!

3) 25% of all retail sales of For Better or Worsted go to Central California Food Bank, World Central Kitchen, Oxfam America, World Health Organization, Doctors With Out Borders, or Feeding America. All you have to do is type your preference in the notes at check out. I will send the payment for you! And if you don’t want to choose, I will rotate through the organizations for any FBoW sale with out a charity mentioned.

4) Are you doing great? Do you have a ton of love and you want to share with other yarnies? You can Pay It Forward by going to https://anzula.myshopify.com/…/pay-…/products/pay-it-forward

5) If you are experiencing financial hardship we will gift you one skein per person in Luster, Silken, Croquet, or It Could Be Worsted. Enter the code stitchinplace at check out to get your free skein. You only need to pay shipping!

6) Designers, we love you! I promise I haven’t forgotten you. If you need yarn support let me know, I have something special set up for you to make sure you can get exactly what you need!

We love all of you so much, I can’t imagine my life without you and your support. Thank you so much for all the kind comments, yarn you’ve purchased, sharing your beautiful projects, and all the ways you share goodness through the whole world with string. We really couldn’t do this without you. You are amazing!
