Introducing: Ava

Today is the day!

Are you ready?

We get to tell you all about the new yarn we’ve been working tirelessly on, just for you! It’s something so many of you have asked for, and we are so glad to finally share it with you. We’ve worked with our mill, tested dozens of samples for the perfect twist, weight, bounce, drape, and smoosh. We know how important smoosh is.

We started with your favorite fiber blend: 80% Superwash Fine Merino, 10% Cashmere, and 10% Nylon.

Don’t you just want to dive into all that fluffy goodness and stay forever and ever? It’s the same blend you’ve known and loved in Cloud, Squishy, Cricket, and For Better or Worsted.

After months of the mill spinning samples, and us knitting and crocheting with them, we finally achieved exactly the yarn we were hoping for.

Without further ado, I’d like to introduce you to Ava.

Au Natural in all of it’s pure, creamy, bouncy perfection.

Ava is the perfect sport weight yarn and is ready to join the Anzula family. It comes in at 330 yards per 4 ounce skein and is available in all of our 115 colorways.

Are you excited to get your hands on a skein, or two, or twelve? Well you can! Ava will be at Vogue Knitting Live this weekend in the Yarnover Truck booth (121-123).

Here are a few of the colorways they will have:

Ava in (clockwise from top left) Denim, Aqua, Teal, Keola, Temperance, Chiva, Blueberry, Navy, Garnet, and Arizona.

Ava in Au Natural, Petals, Temperance, Misfit, and Black.

And a few more, just because:

Anzula in Au Natural, Gravity, Elephant, and Black.

Ava in Aqua, Teal, Denim, Navy, Blueberry, and Chiva.

And because we know more is always better, the Yarnover Truck will also have Milky Way, Cloud, Haiku, Luster, Silken, Croquet, and Vera!

Here’s a little taste of all the yarn we’ve been dyeing for VK Live.

This is just the beginning...

Can’t make it to VK Live? We have good news, more shops will be carrying Ava soon! If you’re like me and you don’t want to wait, you can always place a special order with your favorite Anzula shop

We have more new stuff to share with you this week, like patterns for Ava and new colorways!

Living Vicariously Through Anzula Takeover: Part 1

Want some real truth? I regularly snoop Anzula head honcho Sabrina's social media. My life is so locked into routine between the kids, the day job, the husband, and ugh, the laundry, and I don't get out much. Like, ever. It has been three and a half years since my list trip to the beach.

But you know who gets out? Sabrina. You know who has been on a whirlwind yarn adventure that is taking her from LA the way up to Alameda County? Sabrina. A lot of my time is spent living vicariously through her days.

That said, stalking is only creepy if you keep it to yourself, right? Right. That's my story anyway. Here are some of my favorite photos of her life on the road.

January 19: "I don't know when the Grapevine was last this green." That afternoon she was at A Major Knitwork in Van Nuys for the first show. Because who needs rest?

Today, January 31st, the tour takes her to another shop that I love, Green Planet Yarn in San Jose. I can't wait to see what she's up to next. Don't worry. There are at least six more stops in February, so I'll be sure to share what she's been up to. And if you live in California's Bay Area try and make it to one of the upcoming Anzula Takeover dates!!
